2020 will be remembered as one of the most stressful and dangerous times for public safety. In Latin America, those dangers were compounded by testing and treatment obstacles, as well as equipment and hospital bed shortages for those who contracted Covid-19. Many of our donated ambulances were forced quickly into service to help move these often critical patients to larger city facilities. These dedicated medics, often with little or no pay, stood heroically on the front lines for their communities, even forming special transport teams such as UNIRESCO in Magdalena de Kino. We are honored to be a part of the success of these teams by providing ambulances and equipment to care for their victims.
