City of San Jose de Colinas
Honduras
Unit donated by American Medical Response of Evansville, Indiana under the leadership of Lee Turpin. It is a Type 2 unit, which better suits the mountainous area of its future home. In July of 2021, the mayor of this town came to Fort Wayne to take the keys to the unit in a small ceremony at the Huntertown Fire Department. Also sent was equipment to help the mayor set up a clinic for the underserved population in his area.

This 2003 Ford diesel ambulance was donated by Care Ambulance of Iowa City, IA (again!). It will serve Comision Nacional de Emergencias, A.C. in this town near the border of Sonora and Sinaloa. It replaces two unusable units that previously served this town.

Ciudad Morelos, Baja California

This unit is a 1998 Ford diesel Type 3 ambulance sent to replace one previously provided to them which ended up having some fatal frame deterioration that was previously unnoticed. Although we do our best to provide ambulances that will last for many years to come, the unpredictability of our Midwest salty roads sometimes creates unforeseen issues, as was the case here.

Bomberos Magdalena de Kino, Sonora
Mexico
Another fantastic donation by Care Ambulance. This one, a newer Ford ambulance that once served Keokuk County (Iowa), was delivered to a member of the Magdalena de Kino Fire Department. This was their first operating ambulance in 4 years! They plan to use it to rebuild a robust EMS program for their community, including establishing an EMS school!

Ayala, Morelos
This family-run service is the only available service to their small community. They were utilizing a converted 1980's-era van. They were very excited to upgrade to this amazing unit provided, again, by Care Ambulance of Iowa.
